Abstract

The importance of this research lies in developing and standardizing a composite skill performance index in floor exercises based on performance time and accuracy for young gymnasts in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The research problem lies in the lack of a standardized, time- and accuracy-based composite index for evaluating floor exercise performance among young gymnasts in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The research aims to:

- Develop and standardize a time- and accuracy-based composite index for floor exercise performance among young gymnasts in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The researcher employed a descriptive survey methodology, deemed most suitable for the nature of this research.

The research sample consisted of (65) athletes after excluding the control group and the pilot study, which comprised (15) athletes. Thus, the research sample represented (81.25%) of the total research population.

The researcher concluded:

- A performance test for floor exercises based on accuracy and time was developed for young gymnasts in the Kurdistan Region.

The researcher recommends: - The necessity of using a precision and time-based floor exercise performance test when evaluating young gymnasts in the Kurdistan Region by coaches.
