Building the Emotional Knowledge Scale among Some Students of the Faculties of Physical Education and Sport Sciences

Abstract

The research objective was to build and codify the scale of emotional knowledge for the students of some faculties of physical education and sports sciences and to identify their levels, the researcher used the descriptive method in the survey method, the research community represented the students of the fourth stage in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences for the morning and evening studies for  the academic year 2025-2026, which  are 539 male and female students distributed over three faculties in three Iraqi universities, namely (Samarra, Tikrit, and Kirkuk) They were divided into a construction sample, which amounted to (341) male and female students, then  the  sample of the experiment was selected exploratory, which is (20) male and female students, while the application sample reached (198) male and female students, and the scientific steps were carried out to build the scales, and then the researcher processed the data using the statistical package (SPSS), and the researcher reached a number of conclusions, which are The study showed that students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences have an above-average level of emotional knowledge, as well as the results proved that the development of emotional knowledge represents an effective approach for students in their lives, and that students who are more aware of their emotions and manage them are more able to achieve psychological balance and personal adjustment.
