The relationship of body image satisfaction and mindfulness in physical fitness

Abstract
The research aims to study the relationship between satisfaction with body image and mindfulness in improving physical fitness. Body image satisfaction is an important concept in social psychology and healthy psychology, as it refers to a feeling of acceptance and satisfaction with one's body image and appearance. Mindfulness is an important skill that contributes to focus, control of attention, and regulation of emotions. The research problem is that body image satisfaction is believed to affect physical activity and fitness, as people who feel satisfied with their body image encourage them to exercise and take care of their health. In addition, mindfulness is believed to improve athletic performance and enhance physical fitness. Students of the Faculty of Education, Shaqlawa, Department of Physical Education. The researchers used the descriptive correlational survey method as a research methodology, through the procedures of this research, standardized scales and special tests were used, and data related to satisfaction with body image, physical fitness and mental alertness were analyzed. The researchers used the statistical processes of validity and reliability to analyze the data and determine the extent of the relationship between these different factors. Results were obtained by understanding the relationship between satisfaction with body image and mental alertness and their impact on improving physical fitness, which researchers and specialists in the field can develop effective training programs to improve sports results and enhance physical fitness for individuals. This research concluded that the development of mental alertness skills should be encouraged in individuals. This can be achieved through training in meditation and relaxation techniques and improving attention and concentration skills. Sports activities and exercise can be good opportunities to boost your mental alertness. It may contribute to enhancing the psychological and mental health of individuals, promoting self-acceptance, and improving individuals’ perception of their bodies. Future studies could be expanded to include larger samples and different cultures and ages to obtain more in-depth and generalizable results. Other influencing factors that may influence this relationship can also be explored, such as dietary habits, lifestyle, and social and cultural factors.
