Copyright and Licensing Policy

Terms of use, copyright ownership, and content reuse guidelines.

Third-Party Content & Illustrations

You are permitted to incorporate content such as photographs, illustrations, charts, audio, and video files in your manuscript, provided it is your original work or that of your co-authors. In cases where you do not hold ownership, written consent from the content owner is mandatory, demonstrating their agreement for the use of their content under the CC BY license.

If you cannot prove ownership or permission, you will be asked to eliminate or substitute the content in question. It is important not to presume the legality of using content found online without verifying its ownership and applicable license.

Furthermore, ownership rights of content from a previously published paper by another publisher may not automatically transfer to you. Content under a CC BY license, or another license allowing free use, can be reused with proper citation. For content under restrictive licenses, verify your rights and obtain explicit permission if necessary. Contact us for guidance on licensing questions.

Data & Content Compliance

Additionally, data accompanying your submission should not be subject to more restrictive licenses than CC BY 4.

Notice: The journal reserves the authority to remove any content from a publication, pre- or post-publication, if there is evidence to suggest unauthorized use. Always ensure you have the right to use content and provide appropriate attribution.
