Publication Guidelines for the Journal of Sports Culture
First: Publication Instructions
The font used for English manuscripts is Times New Roman, with 1.15 line spacing and a font size of 14.
The font used for Arabic manuscripts is Simplified Arabic.
Margins should be set as follows:
Top: 3 cm
Bottom: 3 cm
Right: 3 cm
Left: 3 cm

The Abstract in English should not exceed 150 words and must be translated by qualified specialists.
Keywords must include at least five (5) words in English.

Second: Formatting Instructions and Publication Fees
Arabic keywords must consist of at least five (5) words.

The manuscript must be submitted electronically as a single, complete file (not divided into parts) through the following website:https://jsc.tu.edu.iq/index.php/jsc/submission?sectionId=1

If the manuscript is derived from a Master’s thesis or Doctoral dissertation, the student's name must appear as the first author.
References must follow the APA style both in-text and in the reference list. In-text citations should appear as follows:
(Author's Name, Year of Publication, Page Number).
Researchers must adhere to the principles of research ethics and refrain from using artificial intelligence tools.
The publication fee is IQD 150,000 for a manuscript of up to 20 pages. An additional IQD 10,000 is charged for each extra page.
All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism and AI-detection screening by the journal, with a screening fee of IQD 15,000.
If the similarity index or AI-detection percentage exceeds 50%, the manuscript will be rejected. In such cases, only the publication fee will be refunded.
Publication fees, additional page charges, and screening fees must be paid upon submission. Manuscripts will not be accepted without completing this procedure.

Third: Revisions
If the manuscript is rejected, the author may recover half of the publication fee (IQD 75,000) by submitting an official request.
Authors must complete all revisions requested by the reviewers within a maximum period of one week.
Manuscripts must be uploaded using the journal's official template; otherwise, the submission will be rejected.
Compliance with all the above regulations is mandatory; otherwise, the journal regrets that it cannot accept the manuscript for consideration.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
