Abstract

Gymnastics is an individual sport that requires specific physical, skill-based, and psychological attributes from female students. Modern gymnastics is characterized by the high difficulty of performing skills on various apparatus, in addition to demanding exceptional performance. A significant challenge is the clear differences in students' performance levels in learning floor exercises. This was evident in the students' difficulty in learning gymnastics movements and their inconsistent execution of skills, despite the repeated efforts of the instructor in teaching and training students of varying difficulty level.

The descriptive approach, employing survey and correlational methods, was used for this study. The research population consisted of 71 second-year female students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Sulaimani during the academic year 2024-2025. A main sample of 64 students was randomly selected using lottery. A pilot sample of 7 students was used, which was subsequently excluded from the main sample. The SPSS statistical package was used to analyze the research findings. The most important conclusions he reached are: - There is a significant correlation between some anthropometric measurements and the performance of some floor movement skills in artistic gymnastics.
