Abstract

The study aimed to design and examine the effectiveness of an educational–training device for the handball skills of passing and shooting across their three different levels. The researcher employed an experimental method using two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research sample consisted of 12 sixth-grade primary school students.

A set of physical and skill-based tests was utilized as instruments for data collection. The educational program was implemented for both groups over a period of eight weeks, comprising 24 instructional units. The experimental group trained using the proposed device, whereas the control group followed traditional exercises for learning passing and shooting skills at three different levels.

The findings revealed statistically significant superiority of the experimental group over the control group in all skill tests during the post-test comparisons. The researcher concluded that educational–training devices have a clear positive effect on learning and developing fundamental handball skills. Accordingly, the study recommended the integration of educational and training devices into the teaching and development of basic sports skills due to their effectiveness in improving skill performance.
