Abstract

The study aimed to identify the simple and compound reaction and their relationship to the focus of attention of the players of the fencing foil The researcher hypothesized that there is a significant relationship between the simple and compound reaction and the focus of attention

The researcher used the descriptive survey method due to its suitability and the nature of the research, and the research sample included third-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, who numbered (185) male and female students, with (135) male (50) female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Mosul. For the academic year (2021-2022), as for the research sample, it consisted of (30) students, and the (6) students who were subjected to survey experiments were excluded from the male research community. After ensuring the validity, reliability and objectivity of the tests, the data obtained by the researcher were processed statistically using the bag Statistical (spss) (mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient). The researcher concluded that there is a significant relationship between the simple and the compound reaction and the concentration of attention of the fencing players in the sport of fencing. The researcher recommended the necessity of applying mental operations programs related to the motor action of the players of fencing and other weapons
