Developing a Career Maturity Scale for Middle School Physical Education Teachers in Baghdad Governorate Researcher

Abstract

The study aimed to build a (functional maturity) scale and to identify the level of (functional maturity) among physical education teachers in intermediate schools in Baghdad Governorate. The researchers used the descriptive method with a survey approach because it suited the nature of the research problem. The current research population consisted of (1028), as the construction sample included (280) teachers, representing (27.23%) of the total research population, and it was represented by the pilot application sample, which consisted of (30) teachers, representing (2.91%). Thus, the statistical analysis sample became (250) teachers, representing (24.31%), and the application sample became (250) teachers, representing (24.31%). The researchers used statistical data through the SPSS program and the multiple regression equation. The researchers reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the variation in the level of awareness of the sample regarding the role of the functional maturity variable in developing their job performance. The most important research recommendations were to encourage educational institutions to adopt the foundations and dimensions of functional maturity adopted in this study to raise the level of performance of their staff, especially physical education teachers.
