The impact of an educational curriculum using the hypermedia system according to the Keller model in learning some scouting skills for students

Abstract

The importance of the research is to identify the effect of hypermedia according to the Keller model in learning some scouting skills for first-stage students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The problem of the research is summarized in answering the question: Does the hypermedia system according to the Keller model contribute to the learning of some scouting skills among students?

      The research sample consists of (89) students of first grade at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Tikrit University, with 43 students for the first group (Class B) and (46) for the second group (Class C). The experimental method is used since it suits the nature of the current research and the two groups are subjected to the elements of homogeneity and equivalence. After conducting the        pre - tests, the two groups undergo (12) units of learning in which the time for each is (45) minutes .Include scouting skills (scout nodes , scout bundles ,scouting courses ,hand signals and whistle ) .  The educational curriculum prepared by the researcher is applied to the two groups, and the results of the post-tests of the scouting skills are good compared with the results of the pre- tests for the two groups which are (zero). This improvement in the learning of the two groups can be attributed to the prepared curriculum, the use of the Keller model and the good use of its characteristics in the field of learning some scouting skills, and the organization of the educational material that showed clear progress and development and the use of continuous feedback with practice and repetition.
