The Effect of a Proposed Training Program Using High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on Some Physiological and Physical Variables in Young Soccer Players

The research aimed to identify the effect of a training program using HIIT on improving some physiological variables (VO2max, heart rate), and to study the effect of the program on the development of some physical abilities (transitional speed, explosive power, endurance), the researcher used the experimental method in the method of one group with pre- and post-tests, the research population identified the players of Saad Youth Football Club for the sports season (2025-2026), which are (26) players. The research sample consisted of (20) players, and the researcher conducted pre and post tests for each of the study variables and also implemented the training program in the method of high-intensity interval training, after which the data obtained were processed by the statistical bag (SPSS), and the researcher reached a number of conclusions, which are that the HIIT training program has a positive effect on improving physical and physiological traits, and the training program helped to reduce the resting heart rate This led to an increase in the ability of the players to recover quickly and return to normal after exertion, and also the training program in the high-intensity interval training method helped to increase the level of physical fitness of the players as well as adapt to the requirements of play and training better.
