The Effect of Aerobic Exercise on Improving Certain Respiratory Indicators in Obese

The current study aimed to investigate the functional role of aerobic activities in enhancing respiratory efficiency among obese individuals, focusing on thoracic mechanics and respiratory economy. The research analyzed the "mechanical restriction" imposed by adipose tissue on lung expansion and the "oxygen steal phenomenon" resulting from the high energetic cost of breathing. The study adopted an analytical descriptive approach while proposing a framework for an experimental study targeting Theoretical findings indicated that prescribed aerobic activities lead to a significant improvement in Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) by increasing chest wall compliance. Furthermore, the breathing pattern shifts toward "deep-slow breathing," which reduces the Respiratory Rate (RR) and provides an oxygen surplus for working muscles.
