Abstract

The importance of the research lies in identifying modern methods that contribute to continuing beyond the initial stages of motor learning, reaching advanced skill levels through the development of motor performance. Moreover, no previous researchers have utilized practice scheduling methods based on mind mapping systems in this field.

Accordingly, the researchers adopted composite skill exercises using a practice scheduling approach (intensive–random) based on mind mapping systems, with the aim of developing motor performance in the dribbling skill in futsal. Intensive practice scheduling is defined as the learner performing the exercise within a specified time frame, with an increased number of attempts (repetitions) and minimal or no rest intervals. In contrast, random practice scheduling is defined as practicing more than one skill within a single instructional unit (Al-Hadithi, 2013: 114–116).

As for combining these two approaches (intensive–random), it is defined by the researchers as performing composite skill exercises aimed at developing dribbling skills in their various forms within a single training unit, while increasing the number of repetitions and reducing rest intervals between them.
