The Effect of using the Cognitive Attrition Strategy on cognitive achievement of some items of teaching methods subject of physical education

Abstract
The research aims to reveal the effect of using the cognitive discrepancy strategy on the cognitive achievement of some items in the subject of methods of teaching, physical education for the second stage, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, College of Education, Zakho University. The researchers used the experimental method to suit with the nature of the research problem. The research population consisted of the (43) male and female of the second stage students from the department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Faculty of Education, University of Zakho for the academic year 2021/2022.They were randomly distributed into two groups, where (A) became the experimental group and (B) the control group, (15) students per group. The researchers used the experimental design, which is called" The design of random-selection equal groups with well-controlled pre- and post-tests.
