Abstract

This research aims to develop combined (cognitive skill) exercises to improve the passing and shooting skills of junior football players. It also seeks to identify the impact of these cognitive-skill exercises on developing these skills. The researcher employed an experimental design with two equivalent groups, using pre- and post-tests. The main research sample consisted of 30 junior players representing Najaf Football Club during the 2025-2026 season. The players were randomly divided equally into two groups. The experimental group followed the combined (cognitive skill) exercises, while the control group followed the training method used by the coach. After extracting and processing the results using appropriate statistical methods, the researcher reached several conclusions, most notably that the combined (cognitive skill) exercises play an effective and influential role in developing the passing and shooting skills of junior football players. Based on these conclusions, the researcher recommends... With several recommendations, the most important of which is to emphasize the inclusion of combined (cognitive skill) exercises in the training units within the training curriculum for junior players in developing basic football skills.
