Abstract

Study objective:

   To develop a scale to measure irrational thoughts among students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Anbar University.

Methodology:

   The descriptive approach was employed, utilizing survey. The sample consisted of 328 students from the second, third, and fourth grades of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Anbar during the 2024–2025 academic year. Data were analyzed using SPSS.

Results:

    A scale was constructed to detect lower levels of irrational thoughts among males compared to females.

Recommendations:

   The scale should be adopted to evaluate students in colleges of physical education and sports sciences.
