Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of varied training in the French style on some physical variables and shooting power of young football players in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq. Through the research, the effect of varied training in the French style on some physical variables of young football players in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq was identified, as well as the effect of varied training in the French style on some shooting power of young football players in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq, The researchers used the experimental method because it was suitable for the application of the research and its procedures. A sample of (35) young footballers under (17) years old was selected purposively from the Erbil Sports Club Academy. The researchers conducted their training program using the experimental design with pre-post measurement for two groups, one experimental and the other control. After the post-tests were completed, the researchers processed the data using a number of statistical methods and through the statistical program (SPSS), The researchers reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which was that there were statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-tests of the experimental group in all physical and skill variables in favor of the post-test. The improvement rates in those variables ranged from 6.85% for the triple jump test with both feet together to 33.53% for the ball bounce distance test. The improvement rates in the time of those variables ranged from 0.41% for the shooting distance test to 11.72% for the ball bounce distance test. There were statistically significant differences between the post-tests of the experimental and control groups in all physical and skill variables in favor of the post-test of the experimental group at a significance level of 0.05.
